Details The unit "second" is not used to measure angles. Instead, it is a unit of time. In the field of angles, the primary unit of measurement is "degrees" (°), followed by "arcminutes" (') and "arcseconds" ('').

An angle of 1 degree can be further divided into 60 arcminutes, and one arcminute can be subdivided into 60 arcseconds. So, for angular measurements, it would be technically called "arcsecond" rather than "second".
